Finally, the Whistleblower CD is out! After 16 months, during which many distractions took me away from the recording, the project is complete. The person to whom I am grateful most is my recording engineer Dan Hazlet. With an amazing ear and musical sensibility, Dan has not only contributed with his own musicianship on the album, but also guided me patiently through the tangled paths in search and creation of the best song arrangements. Other incredibly talented musicians appearing on the album include Rod Capps on bass and electric guitar, Tracy Kash on flute and keyboard, John Finan on keyboard, Karin Elizabeth on violin, Nicholas Brown on uillean pipes, and my wonderful singing friends Annie Capps, Bobby Pennock, and Maggie Ferguson.
Except for Moving On, where most of the lyrics were written by Blaise Glander, the rest are mine. As you listen, you will notice continuation of my interest in social themes such as injustice and inequality. There is a fair share of love themes, of course, including forbidden love. One of the songs is about a woman to whom I have felt close for a long time. I am including the back cover of the CD to accompany this text, to give you an idea of the entire opus. One of the tracks is an instrumental tune, with subtle Middle Eastern elements. I hope you will get your own copy of the CD soon and enjoy it for many years!
